WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg has opened up about the extreme training regimen he’s undertaking ahead of his highly anticipated retirement match in 2025.
Goldberg made his return to WWE at Bad Blood in his hometown of Atlanta, marking his first appearance since 2022. During the event, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion had a tense face-off with GUNTHER, sparking speculation about a potential showdown.

Goldberg’s Training for His Final Match
On his CarCast YouTube series, Goldberg revealed the intense preparation he’s undergoing for his final in-ring appearance.
“I’m thinking, ‘I’m doing all of this shit for one night.’ I’m literally busting my ass. I’m up here in the garage, in the gym, every night,” he said.
At 57, Goldberg acknowledged that his training has changed significantly compared to his prime years in WWE.
“Granted, I don’t work out like I used to. It’s a 45-minute Jack LaLanne workout as opposed to the whole Goldberg days,” he explained.
“I stretch for 45 minutes. I used to only stretch for ten, but now I have to stretch for an hour and ten because I’m so ancient.”
Stem Cell Treatment in Colombia
To aid his recovery and performance, Goldberg is set to travel to the BioXcellerator clinic in Medellin, Colombia for stem cell therapy, a treatment known for helping athletes with injuries and physical wear and tear.
Goldberg joins a growing list of professional wrestlers who have sought treatment at the clinic extend their careers and improve their health:
- Bobby Lashley – Treated for knee injuries, sports recovery, and health optimization.
- Kevin Nash – Treated for shoulder injuries, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, chronic pain, and CTE.
- Eva Marie – Underwent treatment for shoulder and knee pain.
- Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) – Treated for back injuries, chronic pain, and health optimization.
With many wrestlers benefiting from these treatments, Goldberg is looking to ensure he’s in peak condition for his farewell match.

While an official opponent has yet to be confirmed, Goldberg’s confrontation with GUNTHER at Bad Blood has fueled speculation that The Ring General could be his final adversary. Fans will have to wait for WWE’s official announcement regarding the details of Goldberg’s farewell match.
