The first round matches for this year’s Super J Cup have been revealed:
- KUSHIDA vs. Taiji Ishimori
- Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Daisuke Harada
- BUSHI vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru
- Titan vs. Will Ospreay
- Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Eita
- Yuma Aoyagi vs. Taichi
- Gurukun Mask vs. Kenou
- Matt Sydal vs. Kaiji Tomato
This is the return of the Super J Cup after a 7 year break and will again feature the tournament’s creator Justin Thunder Liger.
This year’s tournament also features talents from around the globe, the following promotions are being represented: All Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL, Dragon Gate, K-Dojo, Ring of Honor and Ryukyu Dragon Pro Wrestling.
The first round of the tournament will be airing on New Japan World on July 20th with the finals taking place on August 21st (a week after the G1 Climax tournament finishes).
