Michael Perman Joins CW Sports to Lead WWE NXT and Live Events

The CW Network has appointed Michael Perman as Senior Vice President of Sports, where he will oversee all sports programming, including WWE NXT. Perman, a veteran sports media executive, will manage strategy, programming, and media rights as The CW continues expanding its live sports lineup.

With NXT now airing on The CW following its October 2024 debut, Perman’s leadership will be key in growing WWE’s presence on the network. The CW has committed to nearly 400 hours of annual sports content, featuring NXT, NASCAR, college sports, and Inside The NFL.

“Mike Perman is the perfect leader to help shape CW Sports as we continue building NXT and other premier live events,” said Brad Schwartz, President of The CW Network.

Perman, formerly with NBC Sports and the NBA, expressed excitement about delivering top-tier sports entertainment and further cementing NXT as a marquee attraction on The CW.
