Broken Skull Challenge Production Crew Goes On Strike

Deadline.com reports that the crew of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Challenge show walked off the job on Wednesday morning. Production was underway on season 3 of the popular competition reality show on CMT.

The crew is demanding an IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) status, which would afford them health benefits, pension and other benefits of a union contract.

The Motion Picture Editor’s Guild and IATSE are representing both production and post-production workers on the show and are putting up a picket line outside the offices of show producers 51 Minds Entertainment.

No word yet on how close the matter is to being resolved, but we’ll post an update when it becomes available.
