WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino was immortalized in his hometown of Pizzoferrato, Italy over the weekend when a statue bearing his likeness was unveiled.
Sammartino was on hand for the ceremony, along with city officials from Pizzoferrato and his current residence of Pittsburgh, PA. There were several events held over the weekend leading up to the statue reveal.
Sammartino turns 82 years old on October 6th.

A similar statue was unveiled at the WrestleMania XXX Axxess convention from New Orleans, the weekend Sammartino was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
