CM Punk Ready For His UFC Debut, Has A Message For His Critics (Video)

CM Punk recently spoke with TMZ about his upcoming MMA debut, which takes place in less than two weeks at UFC 203 on 9/10 from Cleveland, OH. It was a quick interview, but here are some highlights:

When asked if he has a message for his critics, Punk replied, “Who the f*ck cares?” He focuses on himself, stays positive and doesn’t have time for people doubting him.

Punk said we very well could see him bust out some wrestling moves in the Octagon if the opportunity presents itself. He referenced Dan Henderson recently dropping an elbow on Michael Bisping, so you never know.

A lot has been said about Punk getting into MMA pretty late in the game. The 37-year-old former pro wrestler is fighting an uphill battle against Mickey Gall, who is only 24 and sports a 2-0 professional record. Punk has been training relentlessly since signing with UFC back in December 2014. He named his heart and his chin as his two biggest strengths, stating once again that he’s in this for the long haul.

He vows to win at UFC 203 and expects a rowdy crowd in Cleveland. The fans who are there to see him win will be loud and he expects to win over everybody else.

Punk was jokingly asked if AJ Lee could make it in the UFC and if he would support her becoming a fighter. He and AJ support each other with everything they do, whether it’s as an author, UFC fighter or astronaut.
