Cody Rhodes may be the face of WWE as the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, but a different star holds the title of “locker room leader.” In a conversation with Jazzy’s World, Rhodes revealed that Bayley has stepped into the role as the roster’s leader.
“If you got a captain, you know, the C on the jersey, it’s probably her… She’s the locker room leader, and she should be.”
Rhodes also acknowledged his Legacy mentor Randy Orton as another locker room leader, highlighting their shared ability to inject excitement into any show or segment they’re part of. Bayley’s role as a locker room leader underscores the progress WWE has made in promoting equality between its male and female performers over the past decade.

Orton has been out of action since Crown Jewel, where he and Kevin Owens brawled, causing their match to be called off. However, Orton made a triumphant return after over a year away at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023, where he was victorious inside the WarGames match. Meanwhile, Rhodes and Owens are set to clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As for Bayley, she also emerged victorious at Survivor Series: WarGames and now has her sights set on the Women’s U.S. Championship. After winning her first-round match, Bayley will face Chelsea Green. The winner will advance to Saturday Night’s Main Event on 12/14 to compete against either Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, Elektra Lopez, or Michin.
