Details On WWE Making Changes To RAW Fatal 4-Way Match

Some backstage news regarding a top match that took place on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW has surfaced online.

That was a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match to determine who will be the next in line for the WWE Universal Title. In the match, Baron Corbin beat Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and The Miz.

Pwinsider reports that WWE officials went back and forth throughout the day over if the match should have been an Elimination Match or a single fall match.

It was noted that the argument was made to protect the talents thus the reason that the originally advertised Elimination Match was switched to a single fall match. Originally, AJ Styles was supposed to compete but Corbin replaced him as the former WWE Champion is dealing with an injury.

The finish of the contest saw Corbin pin The Miz after Strowman and Lashley brawled to the back to get counted out. The reason that they did that spot was due to not wanting to beat them as well as hype Lashley vs. Strowman at WWE Super ShowDown.

Corbin will now challenge WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins for the title at the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event.
