Latest Update On Rey Mysterio’s Injury & Status For WrestleMania

Some good news regarding Rey Mysterio’s status at WrestleMania 35 has surfaced online.

Dave Meltzer reported on F4Wonline.com that Rey is still scheduled to challenge WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe at WrestleMania 35. The match was in jeopardy after he suffered a right ankle injury during his contest against Baron Corbin in the main event of Monday’s episode of RAW in Washington, DC at the Capital One Arena.

According to the report, WWE confirmed this morning that the match is scheduled to happen. Mysterio was walking around and not limping on Thursday night.

Due to the injury, Mysterio was pulled from his scheduled match against Andrade on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live in Baltimore, MD at the Royal Farms Arena.

At the time, it had been reported that this is a legit injury and that his status at Mania was uncertain. Sunday’s match was in question as late as Wednesday.

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will headline the show.
