WWE NXT star Ricky Saints has officially vacated the Defy World Championship, just weeks after securing the title. Defy Wrestling confirmed the news with a video featuring Saints, where he shared that while winning the championship was a major career milestone, he had to prioritize new opportunities.
“When opportunity knocks, you have to answer,” Saints stated in the video, referencing his recent move to WWE NXT.
With the title now vacant, Defy has announced that a new champion will be crowned through the DEFY SUPER 8XGP, an eight-person tournament set to take place at DEFY AFTERMATH on Saturday, March 15, at Washington Hall.
Details on participants and matchups will be revealed in the coming weeks, setting the stage for a highly competitive tournament as Defy Wrestling looks to crown its next world champion.
