Surprising Release: WWE Fires Matt Camp After Years With The Company

WWE has made some surprising moves this year, and they’ve already seen some notable exits. Now, the company has fired another long-time employee in a rather surprising manner.

Matt Camp Was Released By WWE

PW Insider reports that WWE made a decision to release one of their key on-air personalities. Matt Camp, who had been with the company for years, serving as the host of WWE’s The Bump and other roles, was reportedly released last week.

Camp joined WWE in 2019, and he never missed an episode of The Bump during his tenure with the show. Despite his consistent presence, there was no mention of his departure on last week’s episode.

Prior to his time with WWE, Camp had worked on various WWE shows, including Raw Talk and Smackdown Lowdown. His most recent appearance was on the WWE NXT Vengeance Day Kickoff.

Reaction To Matt Camp’s Release

The reaction to Camp’s release has reportedly been a shock to several people within WWE. As of right now, there is no explanation provided by the company for his release, and there have been no internal statements made regarding the matter.

Before joining WWE, Matt Camp had worked as the lead announcer for Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore promotion and served as the lead Fantasy Football Analyst for Bleacher Report. Odds are, he will land on his feet, and we are wishing him the best in his future moves.
