Did the Rock know about John Cena’s heel turn months in advance?
The Great One influenced one of the most shocking moments in the history of pro wrestling at Elimination Chamber tonight, becoming the reason John Cena finally turned heel after two decades in wrestling.
Fans have been wondering how long this surprise was in the works and some have uncovered evidence that suggests that the whole thing had been planned for a long time. A photo making rounds on social media reminds people of the gesture The Rock made during his surprise Bad Blood appearance last year.
The Great One showed up after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns beat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. He held up three fingers at the time to indicate something and fans have pointed out that the gesture was very similar to the signature gesture Cena does during his iconic entrance:
