– Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline reports that if WWE does decide to re-introduce the “War Games” concept for pay-per-view, it probably will not be the same format as the War Games matches seen in the NWA and WCW. The idea of bringing back War Games to WWE has been brought up several times over the years but never got off the ground. With WWE’s recent initiative to rebrand various PPV events, some variation of the War Games concept is back on the table. The WWE creative team was recently told to watch old War Games matches to come up with ideas they can use or tweak.
— World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that it will report its 2009 third quarter results on Thursday, November 5, 2009, before the opening of the market. The Company’s chairman, Vincent K. McMahon, and senior management will host a conference call beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET to discuss the results.
