WWE SmackDown Live Viewership Declines From Last Week

Tuesday’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live from Lincoln, NE at the Pinnacle Bank Arena averaged 2.072 million viewers, which is down from 2.219 million the previous week, according to ShowbuzzDaily.

The show had to go up against Curse of Oak Island on History that did 2.082 million viewers, Rachel Maddow Show with 2.715 and Tucker Carlson Tonight that drew 2.829. WWE also had to go up against two NBA games that pulled in big viewership numbers that had an impact on SmackDown’s rating.

Matches that took place on this show include WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor vs. Andrade in a non-title match, Kairi Sane (w/Asuka) vs. Peyton Royce (w/Billie Kay), Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley in a WWE SmackDown Women’s Title #1 Contendership Match, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston (w/Kevin Owens & Xavier Woods) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (w/Lana & Rusev) in a non-title match.

The episode was expected to drop in viewership as last week’s show was the second night of the Superstar Shakeup for the blue brand. In case you missed the show, you can check out the 5 takeaways from it here.

WWE will attempt to rebound with next week’s episode, which should be interesting to see what number it pulls in.
