Adam Copeland Announced For Maple Leaf Pro Northern Rising

Adam Copeland is heading to Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s Northern Rising event on October 3 at Toronto’s historic Mattamy Athletic Centre, the venue formerly known as Maple Leaf Gardens. The AEW Tag Team Champion was revealed as the mystery person who answered Scott D’Amore’s call at the end of MLP Mayhem on July 30.

The reveal caps a story Copeland set in motion years ago. Back in 2023, the Orangeville, Ontario native said he wanted to compete at Maple Leaf Gardens, and this booking delivers exactly that.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling made the announcement official on social media following the show.

No Matches Announced Yet For Northern Rising

No matches have been set for the Northern Rising card. Copeland’s role at the event remains open, leaving MLP room to build toward October 3.

The appearance is a notable cross-promotional moment. Copeland holds the AEW Tag Team Championship alongside Christian Cage, the pair having reunited on AEW television after Copeland debuted for the promotion in 2023 at WrestleDream.

The Toronto native, who competed for years as Edge before signing with AEW, returns to the building where his home city’s wrestling history runs deepest.
