Stephanie Vaquer has reclaimed the Women’s World title from Liv Morgan at a WWE live event in her home country, with an assist from an unlikely ally, special guest referee Becky Lynch.
Late in the match, Morgan tried to bait Lynch into a confrontation by shoving and slapping her. However, Lynch held her composure. When Morgan hit Vaquer with the Oblivion for what looked like the finish, Lynch deliberately stopped her count at two and flipped Morgan off instead of completing the pinfall.
Morgan turned her attention back to Lynch and went for another attack, but Lynch ducked out of the way, sending Morgan straight into a kick from Vaquer. Vaquer followed up with the SVB and the Vaquer Inferno to secure the pin and reclaim the title.
After Triple H shared footage of the finish on social media, Lynch quoted the post with a pointed one-liner warning Morgan not to mess with “Referee Rebecca.”
The win makes Vaquer a two-time Women’s World Champion. Her first reign was ended by Morgan at WrestleMania 42 Night One.
Given the emotional weight of reclaiming the title in front of a home crowd in Santiago, it’s a big moment for Vaquer, with Lynch’s mischief adding an extra layer of drama to how it happened.
