Big Cass has heard what’s being said about him, and he’s already talked to Triple H about it.
Cass came back to WWE earlier this year after a run of return vignettes, and he has been a regular on Raw since. He has served as a foil for babyfaces like Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio. His win-loss record has led to speculation about how WWE sees him internally.
Speaking on The Sal Licata Show, Cass said his focus is on doing things differently this time.
It’s funny. I just talked to Hunter about all this the other day. Just what you’re talking about, the dirt sheets and everything. I’m coming back with the attitude of I’m here to do business. I fell short of my own expectations as a professional the first time. I’m coming back to do business. I’m coming back to do things right.
WWE released Cass in 2018. He made it clear he isn’t picky about his spot on his second run.
Whatever the company needs is what they’re going to get out of me. Whether the company needs me to come out first every night and open the show, that’s what they’re going to get 100% of. If they need me to close the show, they’re going to get 100%. If they need me to do the popcorn match, they’re going to get 100%.
As for the reports, Cass said he isn’t surprised by them.
Everyone’s always looking for a story and negative sells, positive never sells. You know, you’re always going to want to read about someone messing up over someone doing something really great. So the negativity sells and I’m sure it gets clicks.
I’m here for the ride, baby. I’m here to take this ride, do things right this time, put my head down, work hard, and do the best that I can with what I’m given and what’s expected of me. We’ll see where things go.
