Cody Rhodes is set to deliver a standout performance in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, according to his co-star. Actor David Dastmalchian, who portrays M. Bison in the film, praised both Rhodes and Roman Reigns for their work in the video game adaptation.
In an interview with Soundsphere, Dastmalchian didn't hold back his enthusiasm for the WWE stars' performances. "You can definitely tell everybody that I said that Cody Rhodes' performance as Guile is going to be one of the highlights of Street Fighter," he stated.
The actor also teased Roman Reigns' portrayal of Akuma. "And when everyone sees what Roman Reigns did as well, they're going to freak out," Dastmalchian added.
WWE Stars Take On Iconic Street Fighter Roles
Rhodes, the current three-time Undisputed WWE Champion, takes on the role of Guile in the film. The American Hero won his latest championship reign by defeating Drew McIntyre on SmackDown on March 6, 2026.
Reigns steps into the role of Akuma, one of the franchise's most popular characters. Dastmalchian praised the overall project, calling it "a great film" that's "really exciting."
The Street Fighter movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026.
