WWE’s full match order for SummerSlam Night 1 is set. Following the surprising news that Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi’s bout is scheduled to close out night one, PWInsider has followed up with the complete night one match order:
- Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY (Women’s World Championship)
- Royce Keys, LA Knight & Solo Sikoa vs. The Bloodline
- Gunther vs. Nick Aldis
- Fatal Influence vs. The Bella Twins & Paige
- CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes (Undisputed WWE Championship)
- Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi (Hell in a Cell)
Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship defense against IYO SKY opens the show live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. It’s Morgan’s first defense since she hit 100 days as champion without stepping into a title match.
Royce Keys, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa vs. The Bloodline (Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu) follows, ahead of Gunther vs. Nick Aldis and Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) against Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Paige.
That sets up the Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, still the show’s presumed headliner on paper, in the middle of the card rather than closing it.
Closing Night 1 is Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi’s Hell in a Cell match, a call tied to how Femi’s path to SummerSlam played out.
