ESPN is introducing a custom championship belt for SummerSlam weekend, debuting a new “Moment of the Night” honor that will recognize a standout performer after each night of the two-night show.
The network confirmed the plan Thursday in a press release, saying the belt will celebrate “the most impactful performance, storyline or match moment from each WWE Premium Live Event.” It will also appear across ESPN’s fan-facing content, creator integrations and on-site activations throughout SummerSlam weekend.

SummerSlam streams exclusively on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited plan for the first time this year, part of a rights deal that made ESPN the U.S. home for every WWE Premium Live Event in 2026. The two-night show runs Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, topped by the confirmed SummerSlam card for both nights.
Access to the streaming tier widened just days before the show, with YouTube TV subscribers gaining free access to ESPN Unlimited this week.
ESPN.com is running original SummerSlam editorial coverage all week too, including historical features on past SummerSlam main events, previews and predictions from reporter Sean Coyle, plus live coverage of both nights.
SummerSlam Weekend Fan Experiences
ESPN is also bringing back its Top Rope Leap photo activation and launching the “Very Nice, Very Evil” SummerSlam Freeze Tour, a roaming popsicle truck built around the persona of Danhausen, who faces Dominik Mysterio on Night 2. Fans at the truck can choose between “Very Nice” and “Very Evil” frozen treats and spin a custom flavor wheel.
The truck will make stops around Minneapolis and at the SummerSlam fan festival throughout the week. ESPN’s WWE footprint keeps expanding beyond premium live events too, with NXT set to begin streaming on the ESPN App starting August 4.
