With SummerSlam just days away, WWE has locked in the official two-night card, confirming the main events and revealing how creative reshuffles have reshaped the undercard from earlier plans. SummerSlam 2026 takes place across two nights at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2.
The promotion confirmed both lineups through WWE (via X/Twitter and ESPN Get Up). Commentator Joe Tessitore appeared on ESPN Get Up and revealed that CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will main event Night 1, while Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins headline Night 2.
The event streams live in the United States on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited plan and on Netflix in international markets.

How Creative Reshuffles Reshaped The Card
Several matches shifted from their originally reported forms in the weeks leading up to the show. Tiffany Stratton, once slated for a different SummerSlam program, now lands in a crowded five-way ladder match, a change detailed in earlier coverage of Tiffany Stratton’s initial plans for the event.
Brock Lesnar’s booking also changed course. He is now set to meet Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell rather than the opponent first floated, a pivot laid out in reporting on how WWE scrapped Lesnar’s original SummerSlam plan.
The bout carries added weight given Femi’s win over Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, a breakout result that helped set him up as a top-level threat before he won the 2026 King of the Ring tournament.
GUNTHER vs. Nick Aldis, meanwhile, is now locked for Night 1 after being flagged earlier as a match reportedly headed to SummerSlam.
What The Main Events Have Riding On Them
The headline matches trace directly back to WrestleMania 42. Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk on Night 2 on April 19, 2026, to win the World Heavyweight Championship, ending Punk’s reign that began in November 2025. Reigns now defends that title against Seth Rollins, who most recently beat Bron Breakker in a Steel Cage Match at Night of Champions 2026.
Femi’s presence on the card ties to his King of the Ring win at Night of Champions 2026 in Riyadh, where he beat Jey Uso in the final to earn a guaranteed SummerSlam world title match.
On the women’s side, IYO SKY heads into her Women’s World Championship challenge against Liv Morgan fresh off becoming 2026 Queen of the Ring, a crown she won by defeating Morgan herself.
