Mercedes Mone's In-Ring Return Announced But Not For AEW

Mercedes Mone's in-ring return has been announced.

CMLL posted a video on their social media this Thursday where they confirmed that the AEW star will be competing at their upcoming show on March 6. The female star who holds the CMLL World Women’s Championship will be defending the title at the event celebrating International Women's Day:

The former WWE star has not wrestled since the December 31 episode of Dynamite last year. Willow Nightingale beat Mercedes at the show to win the TBS Championship, ending her historic 584-day reign.

The wrestling veteran recently provided an update on her status, revealing that she has been undergoing stem cell therapy in Mexico during her absence.  Mercedes Mone had noted in her update that March will be a busy month for her, so it appears that the upcoming CMLL date would not be her only title defence.

AEW will be holding Revolution 2026 from Los Angeles on March 15. It's likely that we will see the former TBS Champion returning to TV after the Grand Slam Australia event this week to start building her match for the next AEW PPV.
