Mike Santana’s TNA Contract Timeline Revealed Amid WWE Interest

ByAndrew RavensProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Sources within WWE believe TNA’s Mike Santana will leave the promotion and sign with WWE once his contract expires in July, framing his eventual departure less as speculation and more as a question of timing, according to PWInsider.

WWE’s interest reportedly runs deep enough that at least one main roster member is said to be strongly in favor of signing him. The company is also said to want Santana on the main roster by the end of 2026 if it can land him, though no specific role has been identified.

Santana had been expected to hit free agency in late 2025 before re-signing with TNA, making this the second time his contract status has come into focus. His work and professionalism are well regarded both inside and outside the company, which strengthens his case as he approaches free agency.

His standing in TNA has shifted recently after he lost the TNA World Championship to Frankie Kazarian in his first title defense. Despite that setback, he has remained a top-of-card performer and a significant part of the product.

Losing Santana would be a considerable blow for TNA given how effectively he rebuilt himself as a singles star following his AEW run. WWE would offer a substantially larger platform, and with the July deadline approaching, the situation is likely to develop quickly.
