A new name is looking to propel themselves up through the WWE ID program.
On the latest episode of Reality of Wrestling Platinum, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T revealed Josiah “The Rocket” Jean as the newest WWE ID signee. Jean, a native of Houston, has regularly trained and performed in Reality of Wrestling for several years, and according to Booker, he’s shown nothing but great promise.
“I see so much of myself in this young man right here, so much,” Booker T said, pointing to Jean in the ring. “Hardworking. Since day one here at Reality of Wrestling, it’s always been about putting the work in, trying to get to that next level, trying to do exactly what it takes to stay on track. That’s what it’s about here at Reality of Wrestling. Me personally, I want to say I’m proud of you, all right? You’ve done a hell of a job, especially over this last year, especially over these last few months.”
Over the summer, Jean participated in a WWE tryout and seemingly impressed officials so much that he then represented Reality of Wrestling in Orlando, Florida, home of the WWE Performance Center. Jean’s efforts there proved successful, too, as Booker handed him a WWE ID contract on behalf of the company.
“I just want to say congratulations to The Rocket, Josiah Jean,” Booker said. “This is the beginning of the journey. Now, can you dig it, sucka?”
Under the ROW banner, Jean has notably faced WWE NXT star Brooks Jensen and former TNA Digital Media Champion AJ Francis.
