At the top of WWE’s creative department sits Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. The Undertaker, meanwhile, serves as the head of creative for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, the Mexico-based promotion acquired by WWE in 2025.
According to fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker has settled into his respective role quite well so far. Mysterio specifically describes his AAA work as “incredible.”
I’m intrigued to see how this is gonna end up with Undertaker being in charge,” Mysterio told The Sun UK. “I think Taker said it best. When he first came down to AAA, he said ‘I don’t wanna change what you guys have already built here – I just wanna add.’ So, it was perfect. Now the fans around Mexico who are not accustomed to maybe seeing long storylines or sequences of matches, or sequences of stories that lead into a particular or special match – that is now all happening.
It’s like the perfect formula for the Mexican fan base,” he continued. “And for the rest of the world, it’s something that they’ve been watching for years in WWE. So, I think Undertaker is doing incredible there.
AAA most recently hosted its two-night TripleMania XXXIV event on September 11 and 13. Rey Mysterio competed on night one, taking on Omos under the stipulation that if “The Nigerian Giant” won, his AAA suspension would be lifted. Omos went on to defeat the legendary luchador to secure his reinstatement to the AAA roster.
Night two of TripleMania saw a number of title changes, including Dominik Mysterio being dethroned as the AAA Mega Champion by El Grande Americano. Elsewhere, La Catalina defeated Flammer to capture the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
