Hart was arrested in July 2023 on charges of possession of MDMA and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, both of which are third-degree felonies in Florida.
The court date was scheduled as a mandatory appearance for \"Early Resolution,\" but the hearing was postponed multiple times. Additionally, the court has revoked Hart\'s $2,000 bond.

Upon pulling him over, Gonzales detected the smell of burnt marijuana and found loose leaf marijuana in the vehicle. Further searches uncovered MDMA pills and powder, as well as anabolic steroids, leading to Hart’s arrest on the mentioned charges.
Following his arrest, Hart wrestled his first match in three years in Florida on the same evening. However, he has not competed since then.
