WWE’s parent company held a Zoom town hall meeting for all employees on Wednesday, and we’ve got some details on what was said about the upcoming Saudi Arabia tour.
According to a report from PWInsider, the Zoom call was described as a ‘mostly rah-rah meeting’ with people from WWE, UFC, Zuffa Boxing and On Location giving an update on what was going on in their divisions. WWE President Nick Khan spoke about future WWE stars, naming Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Sol Ruca and Oba Femi in the process.

TKO President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro did comment on the upcoming events in the Middle East. The executive ‘emphatically stated’ that the safety of everyone involved in the show was ‘paramount’ to the company.
This meeting was held before the announcement of Crown Jewel being moved to a different location, so the venue change was not mentioned at the time.
Fightful Select has since reported that many people within WWE HQ only learned about the move from the Riyadh Season account’s tweet. As for the venue change, a new location has not been announced for the event just yet, but people onsite expect the PPV to remain in Riyadh.
