WWE is expected to bring some star power to NXT when it goes up against AEW Grand Slam: France.
Bryan Alvarez told his X subscribers that NXT is presumed to have at least one big main roster name for its head-to-head battle with Dynamite, according to F4WOnline.
The Grand Slam: France edition of Dynamite airs on Tuesday, October 6, putting AEW’s flagship show opposite NXT for the night. The event takes place at the Adidas Arena in Paris and marks AEW’s first show in France. AEW will also tape Collision at the event.
Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne is the first match announced for Grand Slam: France. Jericho beat Wayne on the September 16 Dynamite, but Wayne attacked him after the match.
It is the latest case of WWE and AEW going head-to-head. WWE is running Worlds Collide tonight in Rosemont, Illinois, about 20 minutes from AEW All Out in Hoffman Estates.
