Lola Vice is heading to the main roster, and the vignettes are apparently already made.
TRNBCKL reported on Thursday that packages featuring Vice are in the pipeline and expected to start airing soon.
The presentation is described as attention-grabbing, and the expectation internally is that these will make an immediate impact once they start airing.
Vice has not been seen on WWE television since August 4, when she failed to take the NXT Women’s Championship back from Kendal Grey in an Underground match at the Performance Center. Grey made her submit to an armbar, the first time Vice has lost under those rules. She gave a farewell promo to the crowd off air after the show.
Which brand she lands on has not been reported. The assumption in most coverage is that SmackDown is the one, though the numbers argue otherwise.
SmackDown carries around 17 active women, not counting Rhea Ripley, who is out injured, or Nikki Bella and Paige, who are working a program there without being formally assigned. RAW has roughly 13, and that figure includes Asuka and Bayley, neither of whom is currently appearing.
The blue brand already has more women than it can use. Blake Monroe debuted in May and still has not wrestled a match, having jumped Giulia during her entrance on Friday rather than face her. Jordynne Grace has not wrestled since a Main Event taping in June. A Paige segment was cut from SmackDown earlier this month due to time constraints. Tatum Paxley was called up two weeks ago and slotted in alongside Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
