Zilla Fatu Called 'Overrated' After WWE NXT Debut

Zilla Fatu’s WWE NXT debut didn’t take long to make waves — and Grayson Waller made sure everyone knew he wasn’t impressed.

The August 11 episode of NXT ended in chaos when Fatu inserted himself into the main event, attacking both Waller and Cruz Montana as the two battled to determine the next challenger for NXT World Champion Tony D’Angelo, who was watching ringside. The interference brought the match to an abrupt end via disqualification.

Waller didn’t waste any time reacting once the show wrapped, taking to social media with a blunt jab at the newcomer:

Just what WWE needs, another overrated Uce.

The comment plays into the ongoing perception around Fatu heading into his debut. As the son of the late Umaga and a member of the extended Samoan wrestling dynasty, Fatu arrives in WWE carrying a well-known family name.

Whatever Waller’s opinion, Fatu has already made his presence felt in his first appearance, inserting himself directly into the NXT World Championship picture before officially wrestling a match.
