Alexa Bliss Eyes WWE Return After Two-Year Hiatus: What Fans Can Expect

The last time fans saw Alexa Bliss in a WWE ring, it was at the 2023 Royal Rumble, where she lost to then-Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. While a post-match segment with Uncle Howdy teased big things to come, Bliss would become pregnant shortly after, and it’s been close to two years since fans last saw the ‘Goddess’ in the ring.

Personal Matters

In November 2023, Bliss and her husband Ryan Cabrera welcomed their daughter Hendrix Rogue into the world. Like many women, Bliss’ pregnancy was not without post-partum health issues. Not only that, but Bliss has shared that she’s battled skin cancer and preeclampsia during her time away from the ring. Fortunately, Bliss is “all good now” after dealing with these health issues.

Teasing A Return

In July, Bliss shared footage of herself training in a ring, exciting fans wanting to see the former Women’s Champion back make a return. Speculation has been running rife about Bliss’ return, with some fans believing her comeback will tie to the Wyatt Sicks. Despite what happened with Uncle Howdy at the Ruumble, Bliss has downplayed her alleged involvement with the group, suggesting that her comeback will be under a different character than her ‘Dark Alexa’ persona.

Out Of The Ring

Bliss hasn’t been wrestling, but she hasn’t been completely absent from the industry. The Goddess provided English voiceover for Netflix’s The Queen of Villains which details the life and career of Japanese wrestling sensation Dump Matsumoto.

Unfortunately, Bliss has also had to deal with scammers impersonating her, an issue that she has been dealing with for years. Last December, Bliss once again warned fans of scammers posing as her to steal money, often in the form of gift card transactions. Unfortunately, one elderly fan gave $1 million as well as his granddaughter’s college fund to a fake Bliss, and passed away never getting their money back.

When Will She Return?

While there’s no confirmed date on when Bliss will be back, it is expected to be after the 2024 holiday season, and potentially on the road to WrestleMania 41. There are plenty of big shows Bliss could return on, such as Raw’s premiere on Netflix on January 6, or as a surprise entrant a the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Bliss herself has addressed speculation about her future by confirming that she will return to WWE, and the company is actively developing creative plans for her comeback. When those plans play out on TV remains to be seen, but there’s no shortage of fans who can’t wait to see ‘Five Feet of Fury’ make her presence felt on WWE TV again.
