On January 6, WWE Raw will debut on Netflix, marking the beginning of a groundbreaking partnership between WWE and the streaming giant. This multi-billion-dollar deal signals a new era for WWE’s flagship show, but it also raises questions about the future of its extensive archive and the accessibility of past and live events. Netflix has provided some clarity on these topics, revealing plans for both archival content and live programming.
One key question centers on WWE’s vast library of past shows. According to Netflix, fans should anticipate a gradual release of archival content.
“In January 2025, Netflix will begin to roll out select WWE archival content. WWE Raw archival content will be available for viewing in the United States, with additional archival content available in the countries listed above.”
Additionally, WWE programming will become downloadable approximately 48 hours after streaming live, giving fans more flexibility to catch up on their favorite moments.
International Rollout and Accessibility
Initially, WWE Raw will be available in the United States and its territories, including American Samoa, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, the Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. International fans will also gain access to WWE’s programming, including SmackDown, NXT, and Premium Live Events, as the rollout expands globally.
WWE Raw Debut – January 6, 2025
The inaugural episode of WWE Raw on Netflix promises to be a monumental event. Broadcasting live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the show will feature a stacked card, including:
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa (Tribal Combat Match)
Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley (WWE Women’s World Championship)
Travis Scott will perform WWE Raw’s brand-new theme song live.
Windham “Bray Wyatt” Rotunda may no longer be with us, but the late wrestler’s creative influence remains a significant presence on WWE programming. Earlier this year, WWE introduced the Wyatt Sicks, a macabre faction led by Uncle Howdy, whose character has clear ties to the three-time World Champion.
Behind Uncle Howdy’s mask is Bo Dallas, the real-life brother of Rotunda. Speaking to Dead Meat this week, Dallas revealed that the Wyatt Sicks faction draws heavily from his brother’s innovative ideas.
“Every one of our ideas up to this point has been connected to one of Windham’s original ideas,” Dallas shared. “All those characters came out of Windham’s mind.”
Dallas further highlighted Rotunda’s inspiration from the indie horror film A House That October Built. The film features a killer wearing a creepy doll-like mask, which Rotunda used as the basis for Sister Abigail, portrayed by Nikki Cross.
“He was obsessed with that mask for years and had all these ideas that he was eventually going to incorporate,” Dallas recalled.
Though Windham Rotunda has tragically passed away, his creative legacy and his love for wrestling and horror continue to resonate. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates on the Wyatt Sicks, who remains a force to be reckoned with on Monday Night Raw.
Birtt Baker has revealed what she’s been doing on her time off from AEW.
The former Women’s Champion has not wrestled for AEW since the November 13 episode of Dynamite last month. She defeated Penelope Ford at the show.
The D.M.D. appeared in a new video on DDP’s YouTube channel. When asked what she’s been up to, Britt Baker revealed that she’s actually been busy filming some stuff:
“I’m filming some fun stuff, can’t wait to tell everybody what it is. It’s on the down low for now but it’s really exciting and it’s cool, it’s really cool. I think people will be really excited about it.”
When the wrestling legend asked her if she’s learning new things during this time, Baker explained that she is doing things to become a more well-rounded pro wrestler while she’s off the road:
“Yeah definitely, it’s kind of a whole new world. Obviously, our world is very special but we have so much more to learn I think to make yourself more well-rounded pro wrestler, learn as much as you can.
[I’ve] been training more [in] stunts, martial arts just everything I can cause I’m off the road right now. Until I come back, I’m like ‘Let’s cook up on this time off.’”
Britt Baker previously appeared on the American reality show Bar Rescue with Adam Cole. She was also recently featured on the sixth season of Kobra Kai.
A Mercedes Mone title match has officially been added to the Worlds End PPV.
This week’s episode of AEW Collision from the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC featured a singles match where Kris Statlander took on Penelope Ford. In an interview before the bout, Statlander called out Mone for a TBS Title rematch at the upcoming PPV.
After Statlander defeated Ford, the current champion appeared on the ramp. She accepted Kris’ challenge for the Worlds End match, claiming that she’ll defeat the New York native once again.
Kris Statlander unsuccessfully challenged Mone for the title at the Full Gear PPV last month. It was also the last show for Kamille’s association with the TBS Champion. The former NWA star ended her partnership with Mone on the following Dynamite and she has not been seen on AEW programming since then.
AEW Worlds End Updated PPV Card
The new title match is the 8th match officially confirmed for the upcoming show. Below is the updated AEW Worlds End match card:

AEW TBS Championship Match: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Kris Statlander
AEW Worlds End 2024 will be taking place on Saturday, December 28, from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando Florida.
AEW is gearing up for Worlds End on December 28 in Orlando, Florida, with one of the most personal matches set to happen being Adam Cole Vs. MJF. During the December 21 episode of AEW Collision, the two exchanged heated words with MJF taking the personal nature of their feud to a whole new level.
MJF took the microphone first, delivering sharp jabs at Adam Cole. MJF mocked what he perceives as Cole’s physical fragility, remarking that even a small bump, a gust of wind, or a cavity could take him down. Adding to the sting, MJF referenced Cole’s personal life, alluding to his recent breakup with Britt Baker, claiming that Cole may even need to find a new dentist.
MJF’s barbs didn’t stop there as he continued to mock the “crack bay-bay,” in reference to Cole’s recent weight loss. In response, Cole accused MJF of using political influence to secure a spot in AEW for Alicia Atout and highlighted MJF’s two hair restoration surgeries.
These barbs touched on some very real issues for both men, with Cole confirming back in October that he and Baker are no longer together. Earlier this year, Baker was suspended following a backstage incident with Cole, in which she took issue with Cole’s girlfriend Alicia Atout being in the women’s locker room. MJF allegedly punched a wall over the incident, just before his grueling hour-long match against Will Ospreay on the July 17 episode of Dynamite.
Cole Vs. MJF will come one year after the former was revealed as the Devil at Worlds End 2023. With matters growing even more personal this week, fans can expect a brawl like no other next week at AEW’s final pay-per-view of the year.
TNA Wrestling’s Jordynne Grace has wrestling fans buzzing with a cryptic tweet teasing something big coming in a matter of weeks. On X, the former TNA Knockouts World Champion shared the message ’29 days’ alongside a photo of herself delivering a forearm to Rosemary.
The post quickly sparked speculation, with some fans believing the number is a countdown to the end of her TNA contract, fueling rumors of a potential jump to WWE. In the comments, many fans responded that Grace could be debuting in NXT in 29 days, or referenced Grace competing in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble. Grace appeared numerous times for WWE in 2024 and many believe a permanent move to the larger promotion will come next year.
The number could also be linked to TNA Genesis, the promotion’s first pay-per-view of the new year which will take place 29 days after Grace sent her post. Genesis 2025 will take place at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on January 19.
Grace has had a banner year in 2024, both in TNA Wrestling, WWE, and beyond. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on the Juggernaut, and what the former Knockouts World Champion has planned for a matter of weeks.
Matt Cardona is not signed to any wrestling promotion yet.
The 39-year-old made his surprise Ring of Honor debut during the December 5 episode. He immediately started working a program with the ROH Champion Chris Jericho, making many wonder if he had signed a deal with the promotion.
After Jericho made a surprise appearance at a recent GCW show to continue their rivalry, some people wondered if Cardona was actually under a GCW deal and the program between the two WWE alumni was a way for the two companies to mend fences.
Fightful Select is reporting, however, that Matt Cardona is not under contract with AEW or GCW. In case of the latter, the New Jersey-based promotion has not signed people to contracts with the exception of Nick Gage. When asked about his status directly, the Deathmatch King claimed “I’m signed to the major wrestling figure podcast.”
Cardona failed to defeat Jericho for the ROH title at the Final Battle PPV this Friday. He was seen on crutches after being helped to the back due to an ankle injury, but the indie star is hopeful that he’ll be ok.
As of this writing, it’s unknown if Cardona’s current stint will continue following the ROH PPV. Considering the buzz for the ROH title program he generated with Jericho, it seems likely that he’ll be booked again.

Chris Jericho believes AEW shows moving to smaller venues in 2025 will help the company’s growth and make the product hot again.
After spending most of 2024 battling with low ticket sales, Tony Khan hinted that they’ll be changing their strategy for 2025. During the Full Gear media scrum last month, the AEW president had said that he wanted to find markets and buildings ‘where it’s going to be packed and red hot.’
Chris Jericho was asked about Khan’s comments during a recent interview with Z100 New York. The current ROH World Champion was there to promote ROH’s Final Battle PPV from Hammerstein Ballroom and he explained that smaller venues that are packed with fans can change the entire vibe of the shows:
“I think the worst thing you could ever do is to kind of in any business overprice yourself or overextend yourself. We’re at a place where to go to some of the middle-size venues not in every city but in some of them, it’s a very smart move.
For many reasons but most importantly just the vibe of the fans. Like you want to put 10,000 people into an arena and if you can, you do. If you’re down to 5,000 but you go to a 4,000-seat arena, it increases demand.”
The wrestling veteran discussed how AEW has been the ‘cool promotion’ for the majority of its existence. Per Chris Jericho, creating demand with smaller venues can help them regain some of their lost charm:
“It just makes the show that much more exciting and it translates so much better on TV. So I think right now with all of the different choices that people have to buy tickets to go to shows, I think we’re smart to moving to some of these like you mentioned different sized venues.
Because it just makes it cooler and we have always had the cool factor in AEW, especially when we started and then going into the pandemic, coming out of the pandemic. I think one way is the supply and demand. If you have this many tickets for sale and they’re gone. It just makes the product hotter and you can just continue to grow.”
Chris Jericho successfully defended the ROH Championship against Matt Cardona at Final Battle but he was confronted by a returning star afterward. You can check out more about it here.

Summary of WWE’s Roster Changes
In total, over 40 superstars left WWE for whatever reason throughout the year. These changes reflect ongoing strategies to refine the roster and focus on emerging talent.
Nic Nemeth has explained why he decided to leave WWE.
The former Dolph Ziggler ended his 19-year tenure with the Endeavor-owned promotion in September 2023. Entering the independent circuit for the first time in his wrestling career, Nemeth has since made it a mission to prove that he can still be a top guy for any promotion in the world.
The current TNA World Heavyweight Champion spoke to Daily Star recently to promote the 2025 Genesis event. He discussed things such as the growth of TNA in 2024, the progression of his Genesis opponent Joe Hendry, and more.
When asked if leaving WWE has reignited his passion for wrestling, Nic Nemeth revealed that he had more than a year left on his deal with the company. The 44-year-old noted how he was being booked very rarely during the last couple years of his stint with the company and that he wanted to spend whatever prime years he had left to prove that he could still go:
“WWE was so great. I had a year and a half on my contract still, and I said, ‘Please.’ I go, ‘I’m not doing anything here. I’m just hanging out and doing cold five-minute matches.’ I said, ‘I don’t know how much longer I’m a believable world champion for any other company. I might have five more years, I might have two, I might have ten, I don’t know.’
But I go ‘Sitting here collecting a paycheck and working for five minutes a week is not helping WWE, and it sure as hell is not helping me.’ So luckily, they gave me the chance to get out of there because I had some time left on my contract.”
Nemeth said that he was still giving his full effort to whatever position WWE put him in. Now he is able to do a lot more of it as a center figure of TNA roster with a lot more opportunity to talk and then back his words up in the ring. The current TNA World Champion also claimed that he would have given up the title long ago if he felt he couldn’t back up what he was saying with his performance.
The former WWE star won the TNA title at Slammiversary in July and his reign stands at 154 days. Joe Hendry won a fatal four-way match at Final Resolution this month to become the #1 contender for Nemeth’s title.
Dax Harwood has explained why the upcoming Dynamite taping from Ashville is special.
The January 1 Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen special will mark the start of a new era for AEW. As part of their new TV deals, the show from Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, NC will be simulcasted on Max for the first time ever.
Harwood who hails from North Carolina himself explained why the taping is so special during a new interview with 3NTWrestling. He revealed that it’s the first entertainment show coming to the city after it was devastated by Hurricane Helene.
The AEW star noted that Khan could have taken the show to a bigger city to make a better impression on first-time watchers but helping Ashville was a priority for him. He went on to reveal how the AEW President had previously helped the relief efforts for survivors of the natural disaster on their one request:
“A lot of people don’t know this, but Tony called. We talked to Tony, myself and Adam [Copeland]. We talked to Tony. He said, ‘What do you need from me?’ He had already donated a ton of money.
Adam said, ‘Well, we’ve got these Starlinks. These huge Starlinks that they’ve donated here. Elon Musk has donated here, but we don’t have the small Starlinks to go out into the woods, to go out to the top of the mountains, so we can find people and give them cell service. So we can communicate with.’
Tony without any hesitancy, if that’s even a word, he sent hundreds of Starlinks to Asheville, North Carolina, on his own dime. He made sure that that was something we were able to do to find people who were lost.”
Dax Harwood also noted how his tag team partner Cash Wheeler had also set up a GoFundMe and collected over $70,000 to help the relief efforts at the time. Harwood himself was on the ground helping people at the time of need as well. He and Adam Copeland were assisting FEMA workers with search and rescue.
FTR have challenged Death Riders to a fight at the upcoming Dynamite episode and teased that they won’t be coming alone. While Dax did not provide any update on his mystery partner during the talk, the tease coincides perfectly with reports of a former world champion’s imminent return.
Charlotte Flair has been out of action for a whole year now but the 13-time Women’s champion is inching closer to her return per latest updates.
The Queen previously posted photos of in-ring training session at Shawn Spears and Tyler Breeze’s Flatbacks wrestling school. She posted another such photo recently, thanking NXT’s Lainey Reed for helping her prepare for an in-ring return.
In a further update, PWinsider is reporting that Flair is ‘on the cusp of officially returning’ following her injury. Apart from the in-ring work, Charlotte has made trips to WWE HQ for a photoshoot and other logistics work in preparation for her comeback.
Charlotte Flair tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a match against Asuka at the tribute to the troops special of SmackDown on December 8, 2023.
This is the first time in her 12-year WWE run that the female star has had to stay out of action for more than a year. The hiatus also caused her to miss WrestleMania only the second time since being introduced to the main roster by Stephanie McMahon in 2015.
WWE has not set an official return date for the former champion but January 6 Netflix Raw premiere would be the perfect stage for Flair to make her comeback.
Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena proved that she is indeed the ‘forever champion’ with another successful title defense at ROH Final Battle. In the show’s main event, Athena defended against her former ‘minion’ Billie Starkz, one year removed from the pair’s previous match for the title at Final Battle 2023.
You can check out some highlights of the match down below:
HERE WE GO! Who leaves the Hammerstein Ballroom with the #ROH Women's World Title held high?
With another victory to her name, the question remains: Who can stop the forever champion? Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Athena and her historic reign with the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship.
Scott Steiner has revealed that another member of the Steiner family is planning to join the wrestling business at the right time.
ESPN recently caught up with the wrestling veteran during the StaffDNA Cure Bowl game between Jacksonville State and Ohio Bobcats. Steiner along with WWE IC Champion Bron Breakker, was there to support his son, the Jacksonville State wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner.
The former WWE star was asked about the potential of his son following his footsteps and joining the wrestling business. Answering the question, Scott confirmed that Brock is indeed interested in joining the sports entertainment world:
“Yeah, that’s the plan. That’s what he wants to do, so, whatever makes him happy.”
When asked about the secret of success in the pro wrestling world, Scott Steiner explained that you have to be a genetic freak like himself:
“Be a genetic freak like myself. Takes a lot of work you know. I did it for like 25 years, so it takes a while. It’ll be good. He’s a Steiner, so that helps out. But, he’s a good athlete, so the sky’s the limit for him.”
Brock’s cousin and the current Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker also played football before joining WWE. While attending Georgia’s Kennesaw State University, he played for the Kennesaw State Owls. He also entered the NFL drafts after graduation before beginning his pro wrestling career in 2020.
Chris Jericho may have retained his ROH World Championship at ROH Final Battle, but the champ didn’t have much time to celebrate. At Ring of Honor’s latest pay-per-view, Jericho arrived in style to the match, walking out with dancing women to Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York.
Ol' Blue Eyes (& the Nuevettes?) plays out the "King of New York"?
The match saw both men trade control, with Big Bill distracting the referee during a pin attempt by Cardona that should have sealed him the win. With the official occupied, Bryan Keith struck Cardona with the title, allowing for Jericho to get the win and retain.
After the match, The Learning Tree continued their assault on Cardona, until the returning Bandido made the save, the culmination of recent vignettes teasing his return. Bandido suffered a wrist injury in June 2023 and after undergoing surgery in July 2023, underwent a second surgery in December 2023.
This return certainly suggests that Bandido will be next in line for a shot at the ROH World Title. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Ring of Honor and the reign of Chris Jericho.
Cody Rhodes has made his first public appearance since being brutally attacked by his former friend Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The American Nightmare made an appearance at an event for Brandi Rhodes’ NakedMind Yoga & Pilates studio on Friday. Rhodes was seen wearing a neck brace and carrying the original WWE title in photos posted by fans:
For any WWE fans
Current Undisputed WWE Champion:
The American Nightmare & Atlanta’s very own — Cody Rhodes ?????@CodyRhodes
Rhodes had brought back the Winged Eagle belt for his title defense against Kevin Owens at the December 14 show. He retained the belt after delivering a Cross Rhodes to his opponent on a chair that Owens himself had introduced earlier in the bout.
Unhappy with the result, Owens attacked the WWE Champion after the show went off-air. He took Rhodes out with the banned package piledriver, leading to him being stretchered out of the arena.
Triple H confronted Kevin at the entrance ramp after this brutal attack but in the end, the former NXT Champion was able to leave the arena with the Winged Eagle belt.
Kevin Owens then infiltrated the WWE Raw on Netflix kickoff event earlier this week. Carrying the stolen belt, Owens declared himself the ‘true WWE Champion’ and vowed to defend the title at future shows.
Kevin Owens insists he hasn’t “snapped” yet, despite his shocking attack on Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After the event, Owens ambushed Rhodes, delivering a brutal package piledriver that left the American Nightmare incapacitated.
On this week’s episode of SmackDown, Owens delivered a backstage promo, prominently displaying the Winged Eagle Championship he seized from Rhodes. He declared that the title belongs to him, calling his controversial loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event a “tragedy.” Despite his actions, Owens claimed he hasn’t truly lost control, ominously warning that fans don’t want to see what happens if he does. He concluded his promo by placing blame on Rhodes, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, and WWE officials for what comes next.
Cody Rhodes, meanwhile, has yet to return to competition following the attack. He was notably absent from this week’s Raw and was pulled from WWE’s Netflix launch event to sell his injuries. Rhodes also did not appear on this week’s SmackDown, which was pre-taped to give talent and crew time off for the holidays.
Owens’ comments suggest that his rivalry with Rhodes is far from over, with fans speculating about a potential title-vs.-title match between the two. For now, Owens appears committed to justifying his actions, and his veiled threats should leave WWE Superstars and officials on high alert.
Fifteen years after his last match for Ring of Honor (ROH), Nigel McGuinness made a dramatic in-ring return at this week’s Final Battle pay-per-view. McGuinness stepped up to answer Lee Moriarty’s open challenge for the Pure Championship. Despite a valiant effort, McGuinness fell short, with Moriarty securing the submission victory under Pure Rules.
McGuinness’ last ROH match took place in 2009 as part of the Final Countdown tour, where he faced Roderick Strong. This return also marked his first match since 2009 at the Hammerstein Ballroom, a venue where McGuinness had been undefeated until this week.
McGuinness initially retired from wrestling in 2011 due to health issues. However, he made his in-ring return in August 2024 at AEW All In: London. The following month, he squared off against Bryan Danielson during the Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.
While McGuinness’ next steps in the ring remain uncertain, fans were ecstatic to witness his ROH comeback. Stay tuned to SEScoops for updates on the British wrestler’s future endeavors inside and outside the squared circle.
Danhausen has returned to ROH TV after a lengthy unexplained absence.
ROH presented the Final Battle 2024 PPV from the Hammerstein Ballroom this Friday night, December 20. The opening match of the night saw Atlantis Jr. taking on Mansoor of MxM Collection.
Mason Madden was in Mansoor’s corner for this bout and throughout the match he continued to interfere on his partner’s behalf. After several such instances, however, a man with a Danhausen mask emerged from underneath the ring to confront Madden.
The mysterious figure removed his mask to reveal the face of Danhausen. He went on to deliver a dick punch to Madden, allowing Atlantis Jr. to pick up the victory. Mason tried to attack the winner after the bout but Danhausen made the save again, stuffing teeth into the MxM Collection star’s mouth:
Danhausen had been absent from both AEW and ROH programming for a long time without explanation. The 34-year-old last wrestled for AEW at the 2023 Worlds End PPV and his last ROH match came in February this year.
The very evil star had continued to be active in the independent scene, making his absence from the Tony Khan-produced shows even more puzzling.
Now that he has returned to Ring of Honor, the big question is if we’ll see him back on AEW TV as well or if he’ll continue being featured on the streaming show exclusively.
WWE fans can look forward to an additional hour of weekly programming starting in the new year.
On Friday, the WWE website released an updated guide detailing how to watch Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and premium live events across various regions worldwide.
The section for SmackDown includes the first following description:
“SmackDown continues to air on USA Network every Friday night at 8/7 C in the U.S. At the start of 2025, SmackDown will expand to three hours starting with the Jan. 3 episode from Phoenix, Arizona.”
This marks the first time SmackDown will expand to three hours since its debut in 1999, making it a historic moment for the show.
WWE Raw reverted to a two-hour format in October 2024, over 14 years after it first expanded to three hours in July 2012.
SmackDown expanding to three hours highlights WWE’s strategy to differentiate its flagship shows. This move positions SmackDown as a broader platform for storytelling and talent development, including showcasing the new Women’s United States Championship held by Chelsea Green.
Mixed Reaction to the Change
Reactions on X to SmackDown expanding to three hours have been mixed:
Some fans see this as a positive change, anticipating more screen time for storylines like the Bloodline, as well as greater opportunities for the women’s division and underutilized talent.
Others are concerned that the current two-hour format already struggles with consistency, fearing the additional hour may lead to repetitive or diluted content.
Some also view this as a strategic business move, benefiting WWE and USA Network by increasing advertising opportunities.
Overall, fans are divided between optimism for more in-depth storytelling and skepticism about whether the roster can sustain the added time with compelling content.
Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest wrestling news ahead of the big changes in store for WWE Raw and SmackDown.
2024 has been a monumental year for WWE, offering fans a series of Premium Live Events (PLEs) that have captivated audiences worldwide. From shocking title changes to iconic rivalries and unforgettable matches, WWE’s creative direction under Triple H has delivered some of the most compelling content in recent memory.
This year also saw WWE’s continued global expansion, hosting events in Australia, Germany, and France. These international crowds brought unparalleled energy, elevating each event’s atmosphere to unforgettable levels.
Marquee events like WrestleMania XL, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam provided historic moments and emotional climaxes, while smaller PLEs like Bash in Berlin and Backlash France offered surprising highlights. However, not every show reached its potential—some suffered from predictable outcomes, lackluster storylines, or uneven match quality.
In this ranking, we’ll evaluate all 12 WWE PLEs of 2024, from Survivor Series to WrestleMania XL, diving into their highs, lows, and what made each event truly stand out—or miss the mark. Here is our definitive ranking of every WWE PLE of 2024, from worst to best.
While WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows have steadily improved in quality, Crown Jewel 2024 failed to leave a lasting impression. Matches like Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther delivered in-ring quality, but the event lacked a defining moment to make it stand out. The absence of significant storyline progression or jaw-dropping surprises made this event feel like a stopgap rather than a must-watch show.
11. King and Queen of the Ring
The return of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament brought back a classic WWE concept, with Gunther and Nia Jax emerging as winners. However, the event fell flat outside the tournament matches, with an undercard that lacked energy and stakes. While the prestige of the tournament added some gravitas, it wasn’t enough to elevate this event above mediocrity.
10. Survivor Series: WarGames
The annual Survivor Series promised a thrilling night of WarGames matches, but inconsistent booking dragged it down. The women’s WarGames match suffered from disjointed storytelling, and while the men’s match brought excitement and hard-hitting action, it couldn’t salvage the rest of the event. With predictable outcomes and filler matches, this installment of Survivor Series felt like a missed opportunity.
9. Bad Blood
Hyped as the return of a classic PLE, Bad Blood 2024 delivered mixed results. The Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was an instant classic, showcasing brutal storytelling and physicality. Unfortunately, the rest of the card lacked depth, with few matches leaving a lasting impact. The overall lack of balance made this event feel underwhelming despite its marquee attraction.
8. Elimination Chamber: Perth
WWE’s foray into Perth, Australia, brought a solid Elimination Chamber event, with standout performances from Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch, who triumphed in their respective Chamber matches. While the matches themselves were entertaining, the predictability of the outcomes dampened the overall excitement. The event succeeded in showcasing top-tier talent but fell short in delivering major surprises or fresh storylines.
7. Bash in Berlin
Bash in Berlin benefited from the electric energy of the German crowd, but the in-ring action was a mixed bag. Gunther vs. Randy Orton delivered a hard-hitting showcase, and CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre’s strap match brought grit and intensity. However, the rest of the card felt average, lacking the kind of marquee moments needed to elevate the event higher on this list.
6. Clash at the Castle: Scotland
Set against the passionate backdrop of a Scottish crowd, Clash at the Castle provided a memorable night of action. Highlights included Cody Rhodes battling AJ Styles in an emotionally charged I Quit match and CM Punk’s interference in Drew McIntyre’s World Heavyweight Title match, which created one of the night’s most dramatic moments. While the event had its lulls, the atmosphere and key matchups made it stand out.

The landscape of professional wrestling is evolving rapidly, particularly with the growing influence of streaming services. As we approach 2025, fans can anticipate significant changes in how and where they watch their favorite wrestling promotions.
This article examines the streaming services that will feature professional wrestling content in 2025, spotlighting key developments from WWE and AEW.
How to watch
WWE on Netflix
Starting January 6, 2025, WWE will make a historic transition by moving its flagship show, RAW, to Netflix. This shift marks the first time in over 30 years that WWE programming will not air on traditional cable networks.
Additionally, fans in Europe can enjoy weekly episodes of WWE Raw and SmackDown, along with all Premium Live Events (PLEs) streamed live on the platform.
This move to Netflix is poised to revolutionize WWE’s accessibility, offering fans on-demand viewing while introducing professional wrestling to a broader audience.
AEW on Max
Similarly, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is set to expand its reach by launching its content on Max starting January 1, 2025. This multi-platform media rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery ensures that AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision will stream live for Max subscribers in the U.S.
Additionally, AEW pay-per-view events will be available on Max, offering fans a cost-effective way to access these premium events compared to traditional pay-per-view models. This partnership is designed to provide fans with extensive access to AEW’s library and live programming.
TNA on Various Platforms
TNA Wrestling will continue to maintain its presence across multiple streaming platforms in 2025. Fans can watch Impact Wrestling episodes on platforms such as DAZN and Triller TV, ensuring that the promotion remains accessible to its dedicated audience.
Known for its innovative approach, TNA often provides a mix of free and premium content, catering to a wide range of viewers.
Ring of Honor and HonorClub
Ring of Honor (ROH), now under AEW’s umbrella, will continue offering content through HonorClub, a subscription service featuring past events and original programming. While 2025-specific details are still emerging, fans can expect a rich lineup as ROH strengthens its unique presence in the wrestling industry.
