The series brings back several Star Trek favorites, including Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly (Star Trek: Discovery), Tig Notaro as Jett Reno, and Oded Fehr as Admiral Charles Vance. According to the official description, Starfleet Academy will follow a young group of cadets navigating the challenges of becoming Starfleet officers while facing rivalries, friendships, first loves, and a new threat to the Federation.
Lynch’s role places her among the bridge crew, though details about her character remain under wraps. The show has already been renewed for a second season, underscoring Paramount\'s confidence in the series.
