Brock Lesnar has wrestled his final match.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling, closing the book on one of the most dominant and unconventional careers the industry has ever seen. The announcement comes just days after his Hell in a Cell loss to Oba Femi at SummerSlam 2026 — a match that, it turns out, was his last.
Lesnar didn’t hide how emotional the moment was for him. He told McAfee that Saturday had been a strange, emotional day, admitting that his real turning point actually came earlier, at WrestleMania, when Oba Femi slammed him and he first felt like he couldn’t keep going.
I’m here today to let the world know that I am retired, and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody. Saturday was a very emotional day for me. Kind of weird because… my heart… when Oba Femi slammed me at WrestleMania, I was like, ‘I can’t do this again. I think I’m done.’
He said he thought he was done right then and there. Still, he found enough left in the tank for one more run, culminating in Saturday’s match — which he confirmed is truly it for him, both in the squared circle and beyond.
The business… and I still had some fuel in the tank. But Saturday, that’s it for me in the squared circle and for everything else too.”

Fittingly, Lesnar didn’t just walk away quietly. After the match, he cut a promo putting Oba Femi over as the future of the industry, using what may be his final moments in a WWE ring to pass the torch rather than dwell on the loss.
It’s not the first time Lesnar has stepped away from wrestling, and his career has been defined as much by his periodic departures and returns as by his in-ring dominance. But this time, by his own account, the door is closed for good — and he made sure to thank everyone who supported him along the way.
