Chantel Monroe won her NXT singles debut on Tuesday night, defeating Lizzy Rain on the October 27 episode from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. It was the go-home show for NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 this Saturday, and the result gives the self-proclaimed “Reflection of Perfection” a win in her first proper one-on-one match on NXT television.
Rain, who has wrestled outside WWE since 2021, made Monroe work for it. The “Maiden of Metal” landed a shoulder tackle, a leg lariat and a backslide for near falls, then followed with a springboard back elbow and a fisherman’s suplex before Monroe took the victory.
The match came out of last week’s show, when Monroe spent the night approaching NXT talent backstage to promote herself until Rain finally challenged her. WWE featured Monroe in at least five segments on that episode, so a loss here would have stalled the rollout before it started.
How the Reflection of Perfection got here
Monroe’s NXT push started with an October 20 vignette, mirror in hand. “Open your ears, look at me, and pay attention because the reflection of perfection, Chantel Monroe, is gracing your screen,” she said.
She then carried that mirror around the locker room, stopping The Vanity Project and the duo of Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair to ask whether they had seen her promo. Sinclair won the 20-woman battle royal on October 6 that Monroe also entered, and she challenges Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Title at Halloween Havoc.
The gimmick drew immediate comparisons to Blake Monroe, who shares her last name and a similar glamour-first presentation. Chantel leaned into it on X, joking that she is related to Blake “on my brothers, cousins, sister, baby daddy, uncle, brother, niece, grandmother, auntie’s side of the family.” Blake replied: “see you at thanksgiving.”
Monroe, real name Derrian Gobourne, is a former gymnast who came to WWE through its NIL program and wrestled her first match at an NXT live event in May 2024. She worked regularly on WWE Evolve before injuries sidelined her for much of 2026. In March she revealed she had been cleared after a fractured nose, then posted a photo from a hospital bed days later with her ankle in a cast. Her return match came on WWE Main Event, a loss to Maxxine Dupri.
