Mercedes Mone was heckled by the audience at AEW Dynamite in Detroit, Michigan, and she chose to fire back immediately.

The former TBS Champion took to her X to make it clear she would never return to the city. Moreover, she called the people of Detroit annoying and whiny, just as her upcoming opponent at All In 2026, Willow Nightingale.

FU #AEWDetroit, I’m never coming back here again! You’re just as annoying and whiny as that b*tch @willowwrestles???????.

The July 29 episode of Dynamite featured a title celebration for Willow Nightingale. She defeated Thekla and became the new AEW Women’s World Champion at the 2026 Redemption PPV. Amid a passionate address to the audience, Nightingale was interrupted by Mercedes Mone‘s arrival.

The CEO came to the ring with their All In match contract and aggressively asked Nightingale to sign it. She shoved it straight in her chest and put pen to paper. Following that, both women had a heated exchange, with Mone saying that Willow became popular at her expense, and Nightingale taking a jab, saying that Mone can’t win the title she currently holds.

The heated words led to the arrival of Mone’s allies, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross, and the trio jumped Nightingale. However, she got backup in the form of Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, who ran down to the ring as Mone and his allies retreated.

With two major rivals set to collide for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In 2026, it will be interesting to see who will emerge victorious at the event.
