MLW has pulled its October 3 event out of Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, accusing the venue of breaching their agreement, and moved the television taping to Atlanta on the same night.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the promotion pointed to the 2300 Arena’s “breach of its agreement” with Major League Wrestling as the reason for the move. MLW did not detail what the alleged breach involved.
Ticket holders are being directed to contact the 2300 Arena box office for a full refund at 267-273-0945 or [email protected]. MLW said it explored every reasonable option to keep the show in the Philadelphia area, but the late timing made securing a replacement venue impossible.
The company apologized to Philadelphia fans and said it hopes to announce a return to the city at a different building.
Slaughterhouse Was Booked For South Philly
The scrapped show was Slaughterhouse, announced on June 15 as a Fusion taping at the 2300 Arena. MLW moved on it quickly after its June 12 and 13 double-header at the venue sold out, the promotion’s first Philadelphia run in more than two years.
That weekend doubled as MLW’s 24th anniversary. The company’s debut event, Genesis, ran in the same building in June 2002.
Atlanta Inherits The Date
About an hour after the Philadelphia notice went out, MLW confirmed a Fusion taping at Center Stage in Atlanta on Saturday, October 3. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 10 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster and MLWATL.com, with seats starting at $10.
The Slaughterhouse name did not carry over. MLW is billing the Atlanta show as a Fusion television taping fueled by Don Gato Tequila.
Advertised so far: MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross, Mistico, Matt Riddle, The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows), Donovan Dijak, MLW National Champion Austin Aries, Shotzi, Trevor Lee, Lady Frost, CONTRA Unit, ZAMAYA, LaBron Kozone, Andrew Everett, Jesus Rodriguez and JUMBO, with more names to come.
Atlanta has become MLW’s steadiest market since the promotion relocated its headquarters to Charleston, South Carolina. Center Stage, the former home of WCW Saturday Night, hosted a sold-out Fusion taping in March and has been a reliable draw dating back to Fightland in 2024 and SuperFight 6 in 2025. The building has also anchored the Fusion revival MLW launched this year.
The 2300 Arena has not publicly responded to MLW’s statement.
