NXT Halloween Havoc Preview With Weapons Wild Added To Card

NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 airs Oct. 31 on The CW with Waller vs. D'Angelo, Jordan vs. Sinclair and Borne vs. Heights in a Weapons Wild match. Danhausen hosts.

NXT Halloween Havoc 2026 takes place Saturday, October 31, from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and the go-home show ended with Grayson Waller and Tony D’Angelo brawling in the parking lot until referees pulled them apart. Waller defends the NXT Championship against D’Angelo in the main event, Kelani Jordan puts the NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Wren Sinclair, and Danhausen hosts a six-match card that airs live on The CW and ESPN Unlimited at 7 p.m. ET.

What’s At Stake

Both of NXT’s top titles are on the line, and both challengers have a personal score to settle. D’Angelo is chasing the title Waller took from him at Heatwave, while Sinclair is fighting for the belt Jordan won from her best friend, Kendal Grey, on that same August 30 show.

The Weapons Wild match between Myles Borne and Tavion Heights was added on Tuesday’s final episode, when Danhausen’s druids spun the Halloween Havoc wheel. A second spin of the wheel will decide the rules for Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey, a match that now comes with a question mark after BirthRight went after Fatu’s injured hand with a shovel on Tuesday.

The fallout lands fast. NXT moves to Wednesday, November 4, next week because of election coverage, with John Cena scheduled to appear and Cody Rhodes presenting the Dusty Cup to the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final.

Match Previews

NXT Championship: Grayson Waller (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo

Waller spent the final episode before Halloween Havoc sending D’Angelo all over Central Florida, and it ended exactly where Waller wanted it: with D’Angelo in a fistfight instead of a game plan.

  • Waller won the title in a four-way at Heatwave on August 30, pinning D’Angelo after Cruz Montana hit Spun The Block. Zilla Fatu was also in the match.
  • D’Angelo earned his one-on-one rematch by beating Myles Borne on the October 13 episode of NXT.
  • On October 20, D’Angelo called Waller a troll desperate for attention. The two signed with NXT around the same time and teamed in WarGames during the NXT 2.0 transition, and D’Angelo described both of them as foundation guys for the brand.
  • Tuesday’s show opened with a video of Waller outside D’Angelo’s home. D’Angelo warned NXT General Manager Robert Stone what would happen if Waller went near his family, refused Stone’s offer to send someone to the house, and drove off with a camera crew following.
  • Waller was gone when D’Angelo arrived. He phoned to say he’d told D’Angelo’s wife he would embarrass The Don at Halloween Havoc, then sent D’Angelo to a restaurant the family frequents, where he left a note telling him to meet “where it all started.”
  • Waller turned up at the Performance Center, said the whole scheme was built to keep D’Angelo focused on the wrong things, and called him another small fish who took the bait. D’Angelo arrived, the two brawled in the parking lot, and D’Angelo threw Waller into the bed of his Dodge Ram as the show went off the air.
  • Outside the storyline, D’Angelo said in a real-life interview this week that backstage issues ended The Don character. Waller, meanwhile, has already mocked the NXT roster over John Cena’s visit, and whoever leaves with the title walks into that November 4 show.

NXT Women’s Championship: Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Wren Sinclair

Sinclair got this match by breaking the rules, and Jordan has spent the build reminding everyone she’s already looking past NXT.

  • Jordan took the title from Kendal Grey at Heatwave. Sinclair, Grey’s closest friend, made herself the champion’s problem from there, including a kendo stick attack on Jordan after one of her title defenses.
  • Sinclair was suspended from NXT after hitting a referee while going after Jordan. While suspended, she entered the October 6 battle royal disguised as AAA’s Lady Shani, won it, and unmasked as the new number one contender. Stone reinstated her.
  • Grey was cleared to return from an ear injury, but Jordan ambushed Grey on October 20 and left her bloodied before the contract signing could be finished.
  • Tuesday’s show aired footage from Raw of Jordan in Adam Pearce’s office. Pearce said he’d be watching her Halloween Havoc defense closely, and when Iyo Sky walked in, Jordan said that once she reaches Raw she’ll walk over every woman there, Sky included.
  • Back in Orlando, Grey watched the footage and told Sinclair that Halloween Havoc belongs to her. Sinclair called Jordan desperate and promised to bring the title back to the WrenQCC.

Weapons Wild Match: Myles Borne vs. Tavion Heights

The newest addition to the card is also the most personal. Borne and Heights came up together in the No Quarter Catch Crew, held gold together, and have spent two months tearing that history apart.

  • Borne won the NXT North American Championship from Ethan Page on February 24, then reunited with Heights to win the NXT Tag Team Championship from The Vanity Project on August 4, making Borne a double champion.
  • Both titles were gone by the end of Heatwave. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes took the tag belts, Jackson Drake beat Borne for the North American Championship, and Borne snapped and laid out Heights afterward.
  • Borne staged a public apology on September 15, only to turn on Heights again. Heights got his payback on October 13, posing as a cameraman on the ring apron to distract Borne and cost him the number one contender match against D’Angelo.
  • On Tuesday, Heights called Borne arrogant and backstabbing. Borne claimed credit for Heights’ only NXT title and said his best moments came whenever he left Heights behind. Heights answered that he’d forgotten who he was, and reintroduced himself as an Olympian, the “Weapon in Human Form” and the “God of Suplexes.”
  • Danhausen then had the druids spin the wheel, and it landed on Weapons Wild. Any weapon is legal, and the match can only end by pinfall or submission in the ring.

Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal: Zilla Fatu vs. Charlie Dempsey

Fatu asked for the wheel. BirthRight answered by making sure he walks into it hurt.

  • BirthRight tried to recruit Fatu, and the group has been after him since he turned them down. After Fatu beat Lexis King on October 6, they slammed his hand with the steel steps.
  • Fatu returned on October 20, cost King and Dempsey their Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic quarterfinal, and talked Stone into booking the wheel match, on the condition that Fatu gets medically cleared.
  • On Tuesday, Fatu promised Halloween Havoc would be “get-back season.” Uriah Connors then blindsided him with a shovel, and BirthRight, dressed as druids, went after his injured right hand. WWE has not said whether Fatu has been cleared, and the match remains advertised.
  • Dempsey is the son of William Regal, who told his son before their September 8 match about his own long history with Fatu’s late father, Umaga. The Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal gimmick goes back to WCW’s 1992 show, and our look at WCW Halloween Havoc matches worth revisiting covers that history.

Zaria vs. Izzi Dame (Non-Title)

  • Zaria, the NXT Women’s North American Champion, offered Dame a title shot after Dame beat Layla Diggs on October 20. Dame turned the title down but accepted the match, so the belt isn’t on the line.
  • Dame’s pitch is that Zaria hides behind things: her face paint, her title, and before that her former partner Sol Ruca, who moved up to the main roster this year. In a promo on Tuesday, Dame said Zaria’s mask has started to slip and promised to make her face every demon she’s been avoiding.
  • A flustered Zaria responded in the parking lot later that night, saying Dame knows nothing about her and that everyone will see what she does to Dame on Saturday.

Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill

  • Naraku cost Hill a number one contender match in August by spraying him with mist. Naraku won their first singles match after rubbing mist into Hill’s eyes, and the second ended with Naraku accidentally misting the referee.
  • Since then, Hill has been researching every color of mist on TikTok and Instagram, testing them on himself. Naraku has warned him he isn’t ready for the black mist.
  • In a vignette on Tuesday, Hill admitted a few colors still puzzle him, but said that if he can’t neutralize the mist on defense, he’s working out how to beat Naraku on offense.
