WWE and AAA have teased Rey Mysterio’s upcoming announcement at Noche de Los Grandes Week 2 this Saturday, June 6.
As the promotion’s General Manager, whatever Mysterio reveals carries real matchmaking and promotional weight, and neither company has dropped a single hint about what it will be.
The WWE Hall of Famer is advertised to make a “huge announcement” during the broadcast. Mysterio was recently named AAA General Manager, and the promotion is now putting him front and center again as one of the main selling points for the show.
The teaser came directly from WWE on social media.
Mysterio has already been heavily involved in the special event series. During Week 1 of Noche de Los Grandes, he worked commentary and was brought into the ring for the introductions ahead of the Mask vs. Mask main event.
His move into the General Manager role has already generated headlines, including a tongue-in-cheek legal threat from a WWE legend following the AAA GM reveal.
