AEW star Ruby Soho has been away from an AEW ring for nearly three years, but as it turns out, the medical side of a comeback is no longer standing in her way.
As per Fightful Select, Soho was medically cleared by AEW in June for an eventual in-ring return. She was present at the company’s television tapings in Cincinnati that same month after working toward getting clearance from AEW’s medical staff.
What comes next is less certain. AEW reportedly doesn’t have anything solid lined up for her yet. Soho hasn’t been a regular presence backstage, though ideas for her eventual return have apparently been floating around internally for several months without anything being locked in. Being cleared, in other words, doesn’t necessarily mean an imminent television appearance.
Still, it marks a real shift from where things stood previously. Soho hasn’t competed inside the ring since February 2024, when she teamed with Saraya against Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale on AEW Rampage.
She stepped away from in-ring competition during her pregnancy and welcomed her first child with Angelo Parker. By July last year, reports indicated she had resumed training, and roughly a year later, she received official medical clearance in Cincinnati.
