Tony Khan decided to support ALS awareness in a big way.

Khan’s wrestling company, AEW, presented a special episode, ‘Rebel Heart Dynamite’, on September 9. The show was dedicated to one of their stars, Rebel, who has been diagnosed with ALS and has received immense support from Khan and his promotion.

The AEW CEO appeared at the event and donated $140,000 to I Am ALS and Team Gleason, which will go toward ALS research. You can check out a photo from Dynamite posted by a fan below:

AEW star Rebel returned to Dynamite

The special Rebel Heart Dynamite show featured Rebel’s return to the company. She opened the event with an appearance in Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.’s segment, Waiting Room. She was happy to be back in the Jacksonville-based wrestling promotion.

Later that night, Rebel came out in her electric wheelchair during the final minutes of a huge trios bout featuring her real-life friend, Britt Baker. The AEW star came out with Baker’s glove and handed it over to her. The Doctor put it on and made Hyan tap out, securing the win for her team.

Following that, she greeted Rebel outside the ring and sat on her lap as they made their way to the entrance stage. Before exiting through the curtain, the two shared an emotional moment, which was heartwarming to watch.
