Oba Femi’s recent spot on RAW this week drew a lot of attention, and a WWE veteran gave his thoughts on it.
He is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, Bob Holly (aka Hardcore Holly). Oba Femi was beaten down by The Vision on the September 7 episode of RAW as he came to the aid of The American Alpha. As he lay in the middle of the ring, Bronson Reed kept his foot on Femi, who quickly shrugged his leg off, a spot that had the internet talking.
Bob Holly took to his X to address the situation. He said that if Femi had broken kayfabe and done this twenty years ago, he would have beaten him to protect the business. At the same time, Holly said former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon would have approved of it.
I saw the clip of Oba Femi getting pissed off when Bronson Reed put his foot on him after The Vision beat down. If this was twenty years ago and Oba broke kayfabe and hit me in the leg, I would’ve beat the shit out him for real to protect the business and Vince would’ve approved.
This came fresh off the heels of Sunday Night’s Main Event, where Oba Femi won the match against Bron Breakker by Disqualification. It happened when Bronson Reed shockingly returned from injury and attacked him, leaving the King of the Ring laid out.
With the tensions between The Ruler and The Vision far from over, it will be interesting to see what will happen next in this feud.
