A microdrama is a short-form scripted drama told in bite-sized episodes, usually one to three minutes each, and aimed at a TikTok-style social audience. The format has grown quickly overseas, particularly in China.
The story and the cast
The plot centers on the world’s greatest secret agent, who poses as the nanny of his six-year-old daughter to protect her. He has to win the trust of the girl and her mother without revealing his identity, all while dealing with corrupt suitors, mafia strongmen and a billionaire using the family to get to him.
The show is described as an action-comedy. ReelShort regular Chase Mattson plays the agent, Adam Hawke, while Drew McIntyre plays Roscoe, his right-hand man and tech expert. McIntyre compared the pairing to James Bond and Q.
Michael Hayes, Jacob Fatu, Nikkita Lyons, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page and Booker T are among the WWE names appearing over the course of the story.
The series is the first project to come out of the partnership WWE and ReelShort announced on July 14, which the companies called the first collaboration between a major sports and entertainment brand and a microdrama platform.
