Will Ospreay did not hesitate to call a marquee AEW star delusional.
The star Ospreay was talking about is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF. The Salt of the Earth dropped the AEW World title to Kenny Omega at Beach Break 2026. He went on a hiatus and then returned before All In 2026, still carrying his Triple B World Championship and calling himself the ‘One True Champion.’
During a recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the Aerial Assassin, who won the AEW World Championship from Kenny Omega at All In, was asked about MJF calling himself the champion. The Aerial Assassin called him a delusional and entitled star since no one had confiscated the belt from him yet.
He is delusional, man. He is out of his mind. The fact that he’s walking around with that and no one has confiscated that belt. That’s how entitled the guy is. That’s how much sway and how much pull he’s got. He can just bring his own belt and call himself that, and it’s all well and good. But let’s be honest, the geezer’s a tosser.
MJF tried to get back into the World title picture, but failed to win the Men’s Casino Gauntlet at All In 2026. On the other hand, Will Ospreay is gearing up to make his first major title defense. He will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Jon Moxley in the main event of All Out 2026.
With MJF calling himself the champion despite Ospreay’s legitimate claim, it will be interesting to see if both of them clash to end this beef for good.
