WWE Legend Reacts To Fan Pushing AEW Move

AJ Styles keeps getting told he belongs in AEW and once again, he’s not taking the bait, though he did get a laugh out of the latest attempt.

The whole exchange started innocently enough. Styles agreed on social media with a post from AEW World Champion Will Ospreay praising 50-year-old veteran Dragon Kid, calling him “Goated.”

One fan took that simple agreement as an opening, replying that Styles should leave WWE for AEW, framing it as something he owed his son given how well second- and third-generation wrestlers are reportedly treated there.

The fan wrote:

Brother for the love of the game, you gotta jump the ship and join the A-E-DUB. Do it for your own son, look how good the second and third generation are being treated in the DUB.

Styles found the leap in logic amusing, replying by pointing out that the fan had built an entire argument for him switching companies off nothing more than him agreeing that Dragon Kid is good.

You came up with all of that because I agreed with Will Ospreay on Dragon Kid being goated?

It’s the latest example of a recurring pattern. Styles has repeatedly made clear he’s happy in WWE with no plans to leave, and any small sign of him praising AEW talent tends to get read by some fans as a hint he’s ready to jump.

Styles retired from in-ring competition at the 2026 Royal Rumble, exactly ten years after his WWE debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble, and has stayed on with the company as a talent coach.
