For the first time ever, WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. But while WWE’s biggest event is heading overseas, the company is reportedly making sure it doesn’t lose its grip on the American market during wrestling’s biggest weekend.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is planning a nationwide strategy designed to keep a strong presence across the United States while also staying ahead of rival promotions looking to capitalize on WrestleMania weekend.
I’ve been told that their idea is to do watch parties around the United States in major markets. So they’re trying to get a jump on this whole AEW and everyone else that’s gonna want to do something during WrestleMania 43 weekend.
Alvarez added that New York is just the starting point, with several other major cities also under consideration
The cities I was told were New York, L.A., Dallas, and Orlando. It’s like 1985 again—it’s a closed circuit. You can buy a ticket, watch WrestleMania, and get some matches.
Before pay-per-view became a household staple, wrestling fans packed arenas and theaters to watch WrestleMania together on giant screens while enjoying live matches. According to Alvarez, WWE is looking to bring that concept back.
That is their plan: to have an American presence over WrestleMania weekend.
The report also sheds light on WWE’s recent announcement that NXT Stand & Deliver, AAA Eternal Glory, and official WrestleMania 43 watch parties will all be held at the Infosys Theater inside Madison Square Garden. Rather than making New York a one-off destination, WWE appears to be using it as the first step in a broader nationwide strategy to keep fans engaged across the United States, despite WrestleMania taking place in Saudi Arabia.
If the report is accurate, Los Angeles, Dallas and Orlando could soon become part of that rollout, helping WWE maintain a strong American footprint while preventing rival promotions from dominating wrestling’s biggest weekend.
