AEW WrestleDream Buys Reportedly Land Near The Year's Low

AEW WrestleDream is trending toward 100,000 to 110,000 PPV buys, Dave Meltzer reports, the same range as Redemption, AEW's lowest-drawing show of 2026 so far.

AEW WrestleDream is trending toward 100,000 to 110,000 pay-per-view buys, according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. That would put it in the same range as Redemption, which Meltzer previously reported as AEW’s lowest-drawing pay-per-view of 2026.

The October 17 show in Orlando, Florida, was headlined by Will Ospreay retaining the AEW World Championship in the eight-man Clockwork Carnage match, a format Ospreay said he was proud AEW tried. The estimate would be down from last year’s WrestleDream, which Meltzer put at 115,000 to 125,000 buys. The figures are preliminary.

Domestic buys were down, Meltzer said, while international buys were up. He reported that HBO Max, the biggest platform for AEW pay-per-views, was ahead of last year’s WrestleDream.

Meltzer floated two reasons for the international lean: Ospreay’s presence, or more likely the move to Saturday night shows instead of Sunday. International buys have made up a higher share than domestic buys across the last three AEW pay-per-views.

How It Compares

AEW’s year has covered a wide range. Meltzer reported that Double or Nothing’s advance buys ran way above normal, and All In London was tracking between 210,000 and 230,000 buys, within reach of the company record.

WrestleDream sits at the other end of that range. Early estimates can change, and Meltzer described these as preliminary.
