WWE and AAA will team up to present the third Worlds Collide event later this month. While the line-up is stacked, other decisions for the supercard event are still up in the air.
The sixth Worlds Collide under the WWE banner is set to go head-to-head with AEW’s eighth annual All Out pay-per-view. The Superstars of WWE, AAA, and NXT will do battle at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, while the AEW roster will present their outing around 20 miles away at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Sources reported earlier this week that there were no Worlds Collide broadcast plans listed internally, indicating that the event will not stream live. It was noted that plans could change.
In an update, WWE officials do have plans to bring in commentary teams for Worlds Collide: Chicago. The latest word from within WWE dropped today and revealed that there are plans to film Worlds Collide with commentary included, according to F4Wonline’s Bryan Alvarez. It was reiterated how sources are still unclear on if Worlds Collide will air live or via tape delay, but camera crews and commentary teams will be working that night.
Earlier this week it was stated that there is a “good possibility” that Worlds Collide does not air live at all, and as of Tuesday, the internal expectation was that this will be a live event. One source indicated that if the show does air live or at a later date via tape delay, it would be placed on Club WWE, to help boost subscriptions, or YouTube. Many fans assumed the WWE and AAA channels on YouTube would stream Worlds Collide as we’ve seen before.
