Jim Ross has revealed that his health has improved immensely after going through skin cancer treatment last year.
The legendary wrestling personality has had to deal with a number of health issues in the past year. This includes not only treatment for skin cancer but also getting wrist surgery as well as an unexpected ER trip after contracting class A flu.
Though the good news for the fans is that Ross is feeling a lot better after all the health setbacks as he noted on the latest episode of his Grillin' JR podcast:
My health has improved immensely. I got my nurse who comes by twice a week, checks my vitals, dresses my wound. Can you believe that that wound, which was a result of 22 radiation treatments for skin cancer, is still being nursed over a year [later]?
The good news is that it’s healing. It’s shrinking, and that’s important for me. I’d like to get the bandages off and move on, but I’ve adjusted well.
Jim Ross has continued his run with AEW despite the health issues with a reduced schedule. He has been making appearances at the company's big PPVs, doing commentary for the main event matches.
During the episode, the legendary commentator confirmed that he'll continue this trend with a trip to Orlando for the upcoming Worlds End PPV on December 28. While he is not sure of his role, Ross is hopeful that Tony Khan will use him in an on-screen capacity at the upcoming event as well.
