Lola Vice’s time on WWE NXT has come to an emotional close, capping off a hard-fought title match that lived up to the Underground stipulation’s brutal reputation.
Kendal Grey survived one of the toughest defenses of her reign this week on NXT, retaining the NXT Women’s Championship against Vice in an NXT Underground match. Vice came in with a perfect 4-0 record under Underground rules and looked every bit ready to leave with the title.

Following the match, Vice stayed behind at the WWE Performance Center to say goodbye to the live crowd, thanking fans for their support throughout her NXT run before leaving her gloves behind in the ring as a symbolic farewell.
The moment turned even more memorable when her real-life boyfriend, Damian Priest, made a surprise appearance to embrace her before she addressed the crowd.
The match turned chaotic when Grey was driven into the steel ring steps, opening up a bloody cut near her ear. Medical staff bandaged her up mid-match, but the champion refused to stay down and kept fighting.
Vice seemed to have things won after accidentally knocking referee Adrian Butler unconscious, then used the official’s incapacitation to lock in a chokehold and put Grey to sleep. However, with no ref able to call for the bell, the finish couldn’t be made official.
As Vice turned to check on the downed referee, WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair rushed ringside to rally her tag team partner, giving Grey the window she needed to recover. The champion capitalized immediately, locking Vice into a tight armbar with no way out, forcing the tap and retaining her title.
Despite the brutal nature of the Underground match, the two competitors closed things out with a show of respect, shaking hands and embracing in the ring.
Vice exits her NXT chapter as a former NXT Women’s Champion, with her main roster future now the obvious next question.
